Abborrberg is located as the crow flies, midway between Tärnaby, Storuman and Sorsele. In the centre but still far enough away that you can go fishing and snowmobiling undisturbed, or go skiing in the untouched forests on the edge of Vindelfjällen nature reserve and Kirjesålandet. Abborrberg’s village cabin can be rented from Abborrberg’s interest association.

There is a boat mooring in Kroksjön, a footpath to Hemberget and Abborrbergen, fishing waters in Stor-Tallträsket, Lill-Stenträsket, Stenträskbäcken, Danabäcken and Närtabäcken. Local and sporadically maintained snowmobile trail that connects to the state snowmobile trail starting above Lillstenträsket.
