Welcome to the beautiful Boksjödalen, located north of the Ryfjäll massif. The area offers close contact with the mountain world, scenic hiking and snowmobile trails and fine fishing waters in summer and winter. The road follows the Upper and Lower Boksjön lakes, also known as Kirjesjaure or Girjan, through the area. The lakes are the headwaters of the Kirjesån river, which flows through Kirjesålandet, eventually joining the Umeälven river in Slussfors

For hiking, the scenic trail from Boksjön to Viktoriakyrkan of 25 km is recommended. A shorter trail is Kyrkstigen, 10 km between Storskog and Boksjö-Nolvik, which in addition to the tranquillity of walking in spruce forest offers some beautiful viewpoints. In winter, you can take a snowmobile along the snowmobile trail that passes Rauksdalen and Storskog. Visit Boksjögården, Storskog.com or Boksjödalen’s Facebook group where you can find more information.
